Police discover drugs in cruiser after man's arrest


YOUNGSTOWN — A man taken into custody on a warrant from Sandusky County left a bag of marijuana and a bag of crack cocaine in a cruiser Sunday, police said.

Anthony Williams, 47, of Roslyn Avenue, was a passenger in a car pulled over at Gypsy Lane and Ohio Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. for an improper turn. Reports said a records check revealed the warrant for Williams and he was taken to the Mahoning County jail.

In the cruiser, reports said Williams was lying down on the seat crying and shuffling his hands. After her was taken out of the cruiser to be booked, police found the drugs, reports said.

Williams faces additional charges of possession of drugs/cocaine, possession of drugs/marijuana and illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility.
