The wedding of Vanessa Schutz and Neal McDonald took place Feb. 14 at The Whittemore House in Washington, D.C.

The daughter of Ron and Beth Schutz of Canfield and son of Neal and Janet McDonald of Auburndale, Fla., exchanged vows during a 6 p.m. ceremony officiated by Mike Scott.

A reception followed at The Whittemore House, and the couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They live in Washington.

The bride wore a diamond-white gown designed with a sweetheart neckline and fit-and-flare skirt. It was trimmed with a crystal beaded belt. A vintage crystal clip accented her hair.

Her sister, Sabrina Eaton, was matron of honor. She wore a gold gown as did the bridesmaids, Rebekah Schutz, the bride’s sister-in-law; Lindsay Kuiper, the groom’s sister; and Shannon Baker, Katey Blauvelt, Jennifer Borean, Megan Dunchak, Kati Lake, Ellen Rose, Stephanie Ruark, Dana Vanden Eynden and Lindsay Young.

Brian Stevens performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Brad Schutz, the bride’s brother; Scott Eaton, her brother-in-law; Jason Kuiper, the groom’s brother-in-law; Barney Fekete; Carsten Georg; Brendan Kirley; Jared Lyon; Mark Nowacek; and Daniel Rubin. Junior groomsman was Scottie Eaton, the bride’s nephew, and ring bearers were her nephews Mason and Landon Eaton, and Shepherd and Mark Eli Schutz.

The bride graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism and is an advertising sales executive for Washington Magazine in Washington.

Mr. McDonald graduated from Florida State University with a political science degree and is media director for Multi Media Services in Alexandria, Va.
