The rotunda of the Ohio Statehouse was the setting Aug. 23, 2014, for the 3 p.m. wedding of Dr. Niki Stamos and State Rep. Nicholas J. Celebrezze of Parma, D-15th.

The groom’s cousin, Judge Frank D. Celebrezze Jr., officiated. A social hour followed in the Statehouse Museum gallery, and a reception took place afterward in the atrium.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Mara Stamos of Campbell. Mr. Celebrezze is a son of former Ohio Supreme Court Judge James and Daria Celebrezze of Brecksville, Ohio.

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder gown with a low back. It featured satin buttons and a chapel train. The bodice was fashioned of ivory Venice lace embellished with Swarovski crystals, and a crystal headpiece completed her attire.

Her daughter, Izabella, was maid of honor, and best man was the groom’s brother, Dr. James Celebrezze.

The bride graduated with honors from Youngstown State University and earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She is a board-certified specialist in anatomic and clinical pathology and completed her residency in those specialties at Summa Health Systems in Akron as well as her first fellowship in cytopathology. She is completing a second fellowship in surgical pathology at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.

Rep. Celebrezze is assistant minority leader of the Ohio House of Representatives.

He is an honors graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree from the Bliss Institute of American Politics and earned his juris doctorate at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He also owns and operates a law firm in Parma.
