Pharmacy degree

Eric Lipp, son of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Lipp of New Middletown, will graduate from the Mylan School of Pharmacy at Duquesne University with a doctor of pharmacy degree May 23.

He is a 2009 graduate of Springfield Local Schools. Lipp was a member of the Rho Chi Society, an academic honor society in pharmacy. Upon graduation, he will work at a Rite Aid store in the Pittsburgh area.

50 years of service

David Snyder will be honored for his 50 years of service at the Springfield Township Fire Department. Snyder started with the department when he was 18 and has a long history of firefighters in his family. He is a member of the New Springfield Trinity United Methodist Church.

To celebrate Snyder’s community service, the church will host a special worship service and luncheon next Sunday at the church, 2427 Columbiana Road, New Springfield. Worship begins at 11 a.m., and a reception and buffet luncheon will follow at noon.
