Refreshing furniture event is May 5

MERCER, PA.

Munnell Run Farm and the Mercer County Conservation District have teamed with guest artisan Mitzi Dales, owner of No Place Like Home in Greenville, Pa., for a “Refreshing Furniture: Pure Earth Paint 101” class from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. May 5 at the farm, 753 Greenville Road.

Dales will teach participants to refresh old furniture with Pure Earth Paints, which contain natural clay, chalk and earth pigments that dry with a matte, chalky finish. No art experience is required. All paint materials will be provided as well as instruction.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own furniture projects for the class, including chairs, chests, multiple frames and end tables.
