The 2015 ATHENA Award Dinner presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and The Vindicator is scheduled for May 28.

The ATHENA Award is presented to an exceptional woman who has made an impact in her career and demonstrated leadership in the community.

The 2015 nominees are Amanda Armeni, professor of accounting, C.P.A. of Hiram College; Eugenia Aubel, president, St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, Mercy Health; Jennifer L. Baun, director of comprehensive audit prevention services, American Pharmacy Cooperative Inc.; state Sen. Capri Cafaro, of Liberty, D-32nd; Shelley Criswell, owner, A La Cart Catering; Rebecca Gerson, deputy law director, city of Youngstown; Denise L. Gorski, director of athletics, Boardman Schools; Mary Halfacre, external control monitor, Area Agency on Aging 11 Inc.; Michelle Hirschl, senior sales representative, Teva Pharmaceuticals; Carol Jean Hirt, vice president, Head Microscopy Services, Materials Research Laboratories Inc.; Geri Kosar, co-founder, The Rich Center for Autism; Katrina M. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., Boardman. Beth Mooney, chairwoman and chief executive officer of KeyCorp, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Cleveland-based KeyCorp is one of the nation’s largest bank-based financial-services companies.
