Taste of Austintown caters to 360 guests

AUSTINTOWN

The Austintown Junior Women’s League recently hosted its annual scholarship fundraiser, Taste of Austintown, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish center.

More than 360 people attended and were treated to food, drink and desserts donated by Kim’s Confections, Salsita’s Mexican Restaurant, The Manor, Mastropietro Winery, Perfette’s Sausage, Lou Chine, Halliday’s Winery, Bojo’s Creamery, Gorant Chocolatier, Rachel’s Restaurant, The Upstairs Restaurant, Saadey’s and YOLO Grille and Taproom.

DJ Randall Martin entertained with music for the guests, who were able to bid on basket auction items and enter a 50-50 raffle.

Many of them were treated to photos with Youngstown’s Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, who was a special guest of the league.

The annual event allows the AJWL to present scholarships to graduating seniors at Austintown Fitch High School and to support the needs of the community.
