Boardman 8, Steubenville 6

BOARDMAN

Mike Despetorich’s three hits and three runs sparked the Spartans (8-7). Drew Wagner’s two hits drove in three runs while Mick Stamp had two hits and two RBIs. Brian Fryda also had two hits. For Big Red (13-3), Travis Wolfe’s three hits included a double. Devin Ferguson had two hits.

Mineral Ridge 7, McDonald 5

MINERAL RIDGE

Daren Colon and Michael McLean each doubled and scored a run and Colon also had a RBI for the Rams. Nick Ferguson went the distance for the win and also singled and scored. For McDonald, Ben Carkido had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

East Palestine 3, South Range 2 8 innings

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Blaze Chamberlain had two hits and walked three times to lead the Bulldogs (7-4, 3-3 Inter Tri-County League Red). In the eighth inning, Ian Elliott had a RBI double and winning pitcher Josh Fristik contributed a RBI single. Fristik (2-2) scattered eight hits, struck out six and walked two. For the Raiders (7-5), Greg Dunham and Ryan Miller each had two hits and scored a run. One of Dunham’s hits was a double.

Springfield 8, Crestview 2

COLUMBIANA

Jordon Peterson pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts and three walks for Springfield (12-2, 4-0 ITCL Red). Brandon Chamberlain had two hits and two RBIs, Hunter Snyder singled and doubled and Luke Frye had two hits. For Crestview, Chris Bryan had a RBI.

Columbiana 8, Lisbon 4

COLUMBIANA

Devin Rice drove in two runs for the Clippers. Mitch Davidson had two hits and scored three times for the Clippers (8-7, 5-0 ITCL White). For the Blue Devils, Avery Andric drove in two runs and Bryan Scarabino had two hits.

Jackson-Milton 4, Leetonia 3

LEETONIA

Zach Lane went five innings and had eight strikeouts for the Bluejays. Eric Ostrowski had three hits and Braden Nagy earned the save for the Bluejays (9-4). Joey Hall had two hits for the Bears (4-7).

West Branch 4, Alliance 2

ALLIANCE

Winning pitcher Andrew Shutler (4-0) scattered five hits over six innings. Jerian Thomas’ two hits included a double and drove in two runs for the Warriors (10-4, 7-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Shutler and Matt Meiter each had a hit and scored a run. For the Aviators (5-7, 3-4), Anthony Thomas had a RBI single.

Boardman 15, Ashtabula Lakeside 6

BOARDMAN

Kristen Huck and Lexi Caraballo each scored three runs and Savanna Dempsey hit a triple in the Spartans’ victory. Lauren Gabriele was the winning pitcher. Sami Griffith and Toni Stranman each scored twice for the Dragons.

South Range 10, East Palestine 0

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Caragyn Yanek went four innings with five strikeouts and Taylor Helon pitched the fifth for a combined perfect game for the Raiders. Felicia Gaeta went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Jessica Skripac had two hits and 2 RBIs for the Raiders (10-3).

Springfield 9, Crestview 8

NEW WATERFORD

The Tigers scored seven runs in the first innning and Josie Applegarth had eight strikeouts. Emily Stacy and Cassie Bacon each had two RBIs for the Tigers (7-5).

Columbiana 9, W. Reserve 8

COLUMBIANA

Lauren Schlueter doubled, tripled, scored twice and drove in three runs for Columbiana. Haley Tohm singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three times and Madison Macklin added a single and two RBIs. For Western Reserve, Devyn Flory had two doubles, a single, a RBI and scored three runs. Krystan Rose and Kimmi Wiggers each homered and drove in two runs.

Mathews 12, Southington 0

VIENNA

Cheyenne Eggens (9-0) and Nicole Watts combined to toss a one-hitter for the Mustangs (9-3, 4-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference). Meredith Grimes and Maddie Williams each drove in three runs while Lenna Hoff scored twice and drove in two runs. Maddy Nicula had two hits and scored twice while Marisa O’Dell drove in two runs.

Louisville 8, West Branch 5

BELOIT

Kylie Zifer had a home run and three RBIs and Grace Jackson added three hits for the Leopards (7-1). Trish Rinaldi had a double for the Warriors (7-4).

Windham 2, Pymatuning Valley 0

WINDHAM

Madi Kilgore and Britany Knight each had a double and a RBI for the Bombers (8-1). The Lakers had three hits.
