East Side woman charged with heroin possession

YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested a woman on a possession of heroin charge after a traffic stop about 2:20 p.m. Thursday on the Himrod Avenue Expressway.

Reports said Nicole Haynes, 26, of East High Avenue, was taken into custody after she told police she had relapsed and had a dose of heroin on her.

Haynes was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for making an improper lane change, police said.
