Police continue investigation of man shot on South Side
YOUNGSTOWN — Police continue investigating the shooting of a 21-year-old East LaClede Avenue man who reported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Reports said police found a car in the parking lot that had blood on the seats and a window shot out.
A witness told police he was in the car with the victim on Emery Avenue near South Avenue when the windows shattered from gunfire.
The witness said 21-year-old told him he was shot and they drove to the hospital.
The victim told police he saw someone standing near his car in a dark-hooded sweatshirt and then heard several shots and was hit.
Reports said officers found a .38-caliber revolver in the car and six bullets.
