Youngstown police arrest 2 for drug activity on South Side
YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested two people at a Market Street gas station about 1 a.m. today known for drug activity.
An officer on patrol spotted Katie Poklemba, 30, of Girard, and William Carrol, 26, in a car in the parking lot of a 3200 Market St. gas station that had signs warning about loitering, reports said.
Reports said a knife and bag and pieces of drug paraphernalia were seen by an officer, and Pollemba and Carrol were taken out of the car to be searched.
When Carrol stepped out, there was a bag of suspected crack cocaine on the ground under him, reports said. He was charged with possession of drugs/cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police found two doses of suspected heroin near where Poklemba was sitting, reports said. She was arrested on charges of possession of drugs/heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
