Mill Creek gets 2 proposals to run golf course restaurant

YOUNGSTOWN

Leaders of Mill Creek MetroParks are considering two proposals from potential operators of the Hole 55 Grille, the restaurant at the park’s golf course.

Bruce Paulette of Youngstown, and David and Mary Stana of Youngstown submitted applications to run the restaurant, which previously was operated by Barry Dyngles Pub. The park system terminated its contract with Barry Dyngles after the business reportedly fell behind on rent.

The Metroparks put out a notice seeking applications earlier this month, the deadline for which was April 16. Golf Director Brian Tolnar said previously that he would like the restaurant to be running by May 1, the week that leagues start.

Applicants outlined their respective business plans in the submitted proposals.
