Kelly Pavlik's lawyer enters not-guilty plea for him
NILES — Kelly Pavlik's attorney, Damian Billak, entered a written not-guilty plea today to assault and disorderly conduct, and Pavlik did not have to appear in Niles Municipal Court for his arraignment.
Pavlik, ex-world champion middleweight boxer, was charged at the Pine Tree Plaza Saturday after police said Pavlik was involved in a fight in the parking lot during the Foo Fighters concert held inside the plaza.
Pavlik, 33, of Sugarbush Drive in Canfield, returns to court at 8:30 a.m. May 20. He remains free, having not been booked into the Trumbull County jail. He was instead issued a summons for the misdemeanor charges, a Niles court official said.
