Berlin Lake group to meet Wednesday

DEERFIELD

The spring meeting of the Berlin Lake Association will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Deerfield Town Hall.

The meeting will include representatives from the Deerfield Township Trustees, Deerfield Fire Department, U.S. Coast Guard and local U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Please come prepared with any questions you may have.

The annual BLA Spring Lake Cleanup is scheduled for May 2. All participants are asked to gather at the Deerfield Town Hall at 8:45 a.m. to pick up trash bags and gloves.

The cleanup will conclude around 11:30, when all participants will regroup at Les’s Bait/ Marcko Landing for a lunch provided by Martha Cobb.

Breast health event set at Yellow Creek

St. Elizabeth Breast Health Awareness Board is sponsoring a community event from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yellow Creek Lodge in Yellow Creek Park, 19 Lowellville Road, on May 7.

“Live For You: Get Smart, Get Healthy” will feature a variety of speakers talking about healthy topics.

There is not a fee and light refreshments will be served. Reservations are required by Friday and should be called to 330-509-2783.
