2015 MOTHERS DAY CONTEST

The song title “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” popularized in 1970 by the American rock band Three Dog Night, surely brings to mind an incident or two when you didn’t listen to your mom’s advice ... but should have.

Send us a brief note about that time you didn’t follow her better judgment and are willing to admit you should have listened — anything from “don’t shake a soda can before opening it” to “don’t pull the dog’s tail.”

Then include your favorite picture of you and Mom.

Remember, we accept snapshots only; no professional portraits.

We’ll also need both of your names, cities of residence and your telephone number.

The winner will appear in our Mother’s Day edition Sunday, May 10. All submissions will be posted online at www.vindy. com.

• Entering this contest constitutes permission by contestants for their name(s) and photograph to be used without compensation.

• Employees of this newspaper and their immediate families are not eligible to win the prize, but their pictures will be included with the others in our photo gallery online.
