Man arrested on drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Police took Scott Schulte, 40, of Robinwood Drive, to the Mahoning County jail on charges of possession of heroin and possession of crack cocaine after a traffic stop at Potomac Avenue and Rush Boulevard about 10:55 p.m. Saturday.

Reports said Schulte was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for running a stop sign. Reports said officers saw him try to throw a plastic bag out of the passenger’s door.

The driver was given a citation for running a stop sign and released.
