Emily Haggerty homered while Julia McMenamin, Alysa Winterburn, Alex Franken and Carolina Spalding all doubled for the Falcons at Firestone Stadium. Sierra Pierce and Haggerty drove in two runs each. Springfield is 7-4.

NDCL 12, Austintown Fitch 2

AKRON

Spalding had two hits and drove in a run for the Falcons (3-4). McMenamin drove in the other run. NDCL is 9-2.

Girard 6, Tuscarawas Central Catholic 3

AKRON

Rosie Maderitz had four hits and scored two runs for the Indians (6-2). Mackenzie Olesky had three hits and drove in two runs while Chris Cario had two hits and two RBIs. Carlee Byrne and Jess Dohey also had two hits. Byrne was the winning pitcher, striking out six and walking one.

Kenton 12, LaBrae 8

ASHLAND

Emily Dugan had four hits while Haley Davies and Lauren Rutherford each had three for the Vikings. Rutherford drove in three runs while Davies and Dugan each had two RBIs.

ASHLAND

Davies and Kasey Rininger each had two hits for the Vikings. Dugan drove in two runs tossed a one-hitter.

Geno Barricella and Chance Hanshaw each had two hits while winning pitcher Cameron Carson drove in two runs for the Red Dragons. Garrett Pitts scored twice.
