Argus Lodge plans charity golf outing

Argus Lodge 545 F&AM will sponsor the Argus Beachcomber Open Golf Outing, a charity golf scramble, on May 2 at Pine Lakes Golf Course, 6233 W. Liberty St.

The fee will be $75 per golfer, which includes greens fees and cart, refreshments all day and lunch at the turn.

A steak dinner will follow the tournament, when there will be games and prizes.

Pure Cycle plans spinning for MS

CANFIELD

Pure Cycle Studio, 4120 Boardman-Canfield Road, will sponsor its second annual Spin for a Cure for MS from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3.

Team spinning of two to six riders for six hours costs $100, and for an individual it’s $20 per hour.

T-shirts will go to participants.

Those unable to ride can offer support with a donation.

There will be a basket auction featuring 63 items, a raffle featuring the chance to win an Electra Verse bicycle, and a raffle for the chance to win a one-year membership to Pure Cycle.

Proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and David and Koreen Bike the US 4 MS.

Embroiderer’s Guild plans outreach event

POLAND

Youngstown Area Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America will host a public outreach event at 1:30 p.m. May 13 at the Poland Public Library’s basement meeting room, 311 S. Main St.

The beginner project will be a cupcake-sized felt applique pincushion using a butterfly or flower motif.

The project is free, open to all ages and should last from 11/2 to 2 hours.

The event is limited to 30 participants.

Turning Point plans fundraiser

Turning Point Counseling Services announces it will host its second annual fundraising event, Healing Minds by Design, from 1 to 5 p.m. May 3 at Station Square Ristorante, 4250 Belmont Ave.

The event will feature a four-course buffet-style meal for $25 per person.

Proceeds will directly benefit client care.

Turning Point is the primary provider of adult mental health services in Mahoning County.
