A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

April 10

Arrest: Campbell police transferred custody of 26-year-old Mark D. Morocco to township authorities. Morocco, of Palmarie Drive, Poland, was wanted on a charge of failure to appear in court.

April 12

Harassment: A Dorchester Drive man said an acquaintance had sent him vulgar text messages, some of which also contained veiled threats.

Recovered property: A man helping to demolish a home in Farrell, Pa., found a bag containing credit cards, a checkbook and a driver’s license belonging to a Hubbard woman.

April 13

Thefts: A Hillview Drive woman discovered a $38.48 fee had been charged to her checking account without permission. Also, a Ruth Drive woman noticed a fraudulent transaction in the same amount had been made against her bank account.

Identity fraud: A Fifth Avenue man told police he received a letter from the Social Security Administration stating he was ineligible for benefits, even though he never applied, leading the accuser to believe someone had used his Social Security number without authorization.

April 14

Arrest: Police at the Mahoning County jail picked up 33-year-old Jesse J. Lavin of Elm Street, Youngstown, who was wanted on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear for a pretrial hearing related to a charge of making false alarms.

LIBERTY

April 11

Arrest: Police responded to a possible vehicular crash in the 200 block of Goldie Road, where they took into custody Tashayla M. Glenn, 20, of Selma Avenue, Youngstown, who was wanted on a Boardman warrant charging theft.

Citation: A traffic stop in the 3500 block of Belmont Avenue led to a citation charging Randy Heffner, 53, of Detroit with operating a vehicle impaired.

Drugs: George D. Gattison, 20, of Michigan Boulevard, Liberty, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after having been pulled over on state Route 193. A small quantity of suspected marijuana and a small device commonly used to grind marijuana were found, police alleged.

Recovered property: A 2003 Jeep Liberty vehicle was found in Youngstown after a Roosevelt Drive woman had reported it stolen.

Arrest: Youngstown police turned Jerry J. Bohrer, 52, of Turin Street, Youngstown, over to township authorities. He was wanted on a warrant.

Drugs: Authorities responding to a complaint at a Motor Inn Drive motel charged Charles E. Thompson, 32, of Vine Street, Salem, with possession of heroin, drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia when, they alleged, a bindle of suspected heroin, two syringes, including one with suspected heroin and a spoon with burn marks common in drug use were found.

Identity theft: A Naylor-Lloyd Road man trying to file a federal income-tax return discovered someone without authorization already had done so in his name.

Theft: A charge was pending against a 59-year-old Youngstown man after a car battery, a cordless drill and a tool set were stolen from Walmart, 200 Goldie Road.

Arrest: A traffic stop near Church Hill Road resulted in a charge of operating a vehicle impaired against Aleaha N. Skinner, 20, of East Broadway Avenue, Girard. Skinner’s blood-alcohol count was 0.121, a report stated.

April 12

Domestic violence: Regina L. Vancleave, 43, of Colonial Drive, Liberty, was charged with the crime after her husband alleged an intoxicated Vancleave had struck him several times in the head during an argument related to money. She also was on a videotape the victim recorded that showed her tossing and striking him with an object, possibly an ashtray or a Mason jar, a report showed.

Drug paraphernalia: Suspicious activity on Logan Avenue caught officers’ attention before they issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging John W. Griffiths, 33, with possession of drug paraphernalia. Griffiths, of Overbrook Avenue, Youngstown, had a suspected marijuana pipe, police said.

April 13

Arrest: Youngstown police handed Brandi M. Williams of West Heights Avenue, Youngstown, to township authorities. Williams, 26, was wanted on a warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court on a drug-abuse charge.

Domestic violence: Kiheem Carroll, 28, of Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, was charged after his mother alleged an agitated Carroll had threatened to bite her and other family members.

April 14

Domestic violence: While answering a fight call near Belmont Avenue, authorities charged 38-year-old Raumone D. Green of Lucretia Drive, Girard, with one felony count each of domestic violence and intimidation after his wife alleged Green had struck her several times and pulled her hair during an argument, then threatened to harm the accuser if she pressed charges. He also was wanted on warrants.

Felonious assault: Officers responded to a report of a possible stabbing before charging Lyndora Irby, 45, of Northview Drive, Liberty, with felonious assault and domestic violence after her boyfriend alleged that during an argument, Irby had cut him with a large knife. The victim had a minor slice mark on his right biceps, a report showed.

April 15

Arrest: Poland Township police handed Jean L. Clover to Liberty authorities. Clover, 55, of Tod Avenue Southwest, Warren, was wanted on a Girard Municipal Court warrant.

Trespassing: Officers responded to an unwanted person on Roosevelt Drive, where they charged Joseph N. Mondora of Callaway Avenue, Youngstown, with criminal trespassing. The 44-year-old Mondora was on the property, despite the landlord’s having issued him a previous warning to stay off, a report said.

GIRARD

April 12

Arrest: Lordstown police relinquished custody of Charlotte A. Mack of Niles. Mack, 37, was wanted on a warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court to face a theft charge.

Trespassing: Authorities were to issue summonses to a man and a woman after having responded to a complaint of someone in a four-wheel vehicle on private property off Tibbetts-Wick Road.

Theft: A man in the 200 block of South Highland Avenue saw that $15 had been removed from his vehicle.

Arrest: Officers responded to a report of an unruly juvenile before charging a Girard girl, 14, with disorderly conduct. The teen became hostile toward authorities conducting an investigation, then refused to desist, a report showed.

Trespassing: A South Davis Street woman told police she saw a man in black clothing wearing a ski mask in her front yard. The man may have tried to enter her home but fled, a report stated.

April 13

Menacing: An East Liberty Street woman told officers she received a letter containing derogatory references about the accuser and her daughter.

April 14

Aggravated menacing: An East Prospect Street woman told officers she received information that another woman might go after her with a firearm.

Criminal damaging: Someone in the 500 block of Stull Avenue reportedly poured sugar in a car’s gas tank.

Theft: An Elruth Court woman noticed a Social Security card missing from her purse.

Identity fraud: A Joan Avenue man reported that a certified public accountant he hired to electronically file his 2014 income taxes informed the accuser that his forms already had been filed.

Forgery: A North Highland Avenue man surmised that a family member had forged the accuser’s signature on two of his personal checks.

Harassment: A North State Street man said a family member had sent him obscene voicemail messages.
