Worker dies after 80-foot fall at Pa. construction site

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A construction worker has died after falling 80 feet at a Philadelphia building site.

Police say the 42-year-old man fell around 8:10 a.m. today in the city’s University City section.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead about a half-hour later.

The head of the city’s buildings department didn’t immediately return messages.
