Johnathan L. Pyatt, 28, of Lakeside Drive, was arraigned earlier this week in Niles Municipal Court on eight charges after his mother and girlfriend told police he stabbed them multiple times with a knife Monday night.

They told police the stabbings occurred while they were driving on Ohltown-McDonald Road. Judge Thomas Townley of Niles Municipal Court set bond at $50,000.

Weathersfield police went to the front door of the police station about 8 p.m. after hearing a banging noise and found Pyatt urinating on the front door, a report said. They took him into custody.

Pyatt’s mother told police Pyatt became angry with his girlfriend while they were traveling on Ohltown-McDonald Road and broke the front windshield with a baseball bat, then stabbed his mother in the hands while she was driving and stabbed his girlfriend in the hand and thigh.

He threatened to kill both women, his mother said.

Pyatt was not required to enter a plea on two counts of felonious assault. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated menacing, two counts of domestic violence, and single counts of resisting arrest and public indecency.
