Amphitheater concerts unveiled

The Warren Community Amphitheater will again be the site of outdoor concerts most Saturday nights (and one Friday night) this summer as Sunrise Entertainment brings back the River Rock at the Amp summer concert series.

Sunrise Entertainment, which is operated by local businessmen Ken Haidaris and Marty Cohen, revealed this year’s season at a press conference at the downtown venue Wednesday. The series features the nation’s top rock and country tribute bands.

Here is the season, with the name of the band and the act to which it pays tribute:

May 30: 7 Bridge (The Eagles), at 8:30 p.m., with opening act Chris Higbee at 5:30 p.m.

June 13: Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), at 8:30 p.m., with Victory Highway at 5:30 p.m.

June 20: Straight On (Heart), at 8:30 p.m., with Bringing Benatar (Pat Benatar) at 6 p.m., and Golddust Woman (Stevie Nicks) at 5 p.m.

June 27: Escape (Journey), at 8:30 p.m., with the Full Moon AllStar Band at 5:30 p.m.

July 3 (Friday): Fins To The Left (Jimmy Buffett), at 8:30 p.m., with Evil Ways (Santana) at 5:30 p.m.

July 11: 20 Ride (Zac Brown Band), at 8:30 p.m., with Coalie’s Run at 5:30 p.m.

July 18: Hollywood Nights (Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band), at 8:30 p.m., with Huckin Fillbillies at 5:30 p.m.

July 25: Full Moon Fever (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), at 8:30 p.m., with Juke Box Heroes at 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 1: Who’s Bad? (Michael Jackson), at 8:30 p.m., with Black Traxx at 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 15: Broken Road (Rascal Flatts), at 8:30 p.m., with Northern Whiskey at 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 22: Almost Queen (Queen), at 8:30 p.m., with FM Project at 5:30 p.m.
