Wellness fair set

YOUNGSTOWN

The United Methodist Community Center, 139 E. Boardman St., will host a senior health and wellness fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday.

The goal is to bring health organizations, nonprofits and local businesses together to educate Mahoning Valley seniors about health issues. Free health screenings, demonstrations and educational information will be offered.

Parking will be available at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St.

An April 28 event at Youngstown State University, co-hosted by U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, and Rob Portman, a Republican, is aimed at students interested in learning about the application process for the Air Force, Military, Naval and Merchant Marine academies. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the President’s Suite in Kilcawley Center.
