Loud music leads to fracas and arrest downtown
YOUNGSTOWN
Police found a gun, knife and two bags of marijuana on a woman they stopped for playing loud and vulgar music about 9 a.m. Monday in front of 20 W. Federal St.
Keyana Sheronn-Latrice Floyd, 28, of Wirt Street, was taken to the Mahoning County jail two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, failure to identify and possession of marijuana. She also has a warrant for failure to appear from a 2011 traffic case, reports said.
Reports said officers on West Federal heard music from a device Floyd was carrying that was loud and had degrading music. She was told the music was loud and vulgar and began arguing with officers and asked why they were hassling her over music, reports said. When police asked for her name, she gave false information, reports said.
Floyd continued to argue and was placed under arrest. When she was searched police found a loaded .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun and the knife and marijuana. Reports said she was yelling that officers were harassing her and hurting her and a large crowd formed, but reports said officers did not use any excessive force to take her into custody.√YOUNGSTOWN
