BASEBALL
Champion 3, Girard 2
GIRARD
The Golden Flashes scored two unearned runs in the top of the fifth to tie and take the lead for good against the host Indians. The tying run scored on a balk and Jake Walters’ RBI single provided the go-ahead run for Champion (5-1, 3-1 All-American Conference). Both runs scored after two-out bunt and throwing error by Girard (4-2, 3-1). Walters, Chris Miller and Mike Turner each had two hits for the Golden Flashes. Turner had a double for the game’s only extra-base hit. Seth Thomas worked five innings for the victory. He struck out two and didn’t walk a batter. Turner worked the sixth and seventh and struck out three to earn a save. Kyle Harris pitched a complete game for Girard, but took the loss. The teams play again today, this time at Champion.
Poland 14, Lakeview 0
POLAND
Jared Burkert threw a no-hitter and struck out five. Jacob Hawkins went 2-for-3 with a home run and Andrew Kosco had three RBIs for the Bulldogs (6-0).
Mineral Ridge 7, Western Reserve 3
MINERAL RIDGE
Sam Kooyman had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and scored a run for Mineral Ridge and Michael McLean added two hits and a run. Nick Ferguson tossed a three-hitter with four walks and four strikeouts. Logan Matas had two hits and a RBI for Reserve.
Canfield 17, Lakeside 1
CANFIELD
Mike Sebes homered and doubled twice among his four hits and finished with six RBIs as the Cardinals (6-2) crushed the Dragons. Ryan Cheslik earmed his third win of the season by striking out five in four innings and helped his own cause with two doubles and two RBIs. Pete Hernandez added two hits and two RBIs and Anthony Joseph had two hits for Canfield.
Boardman 5, Howland 2
STRUTHERS
Gino Beato had two doubles and Lou Cordona tripled for Boardman (6-3, 2-0 AAC Red). Hudson Widrig (3-0) got the win. Nick Badanjek had three hits, including a double, for Howland.
Campbell 5, LaBrae 4
CAMPBELL
Ian Sewell and Nico Bednarik each had two hits and Mike Jones struck out eight for the Red Devils (3-1).

NEW MIDDLETOWN
Dalton Donachie had a double and four RBIs for the Tigers (5-2). Jordon Peterson pitched five innings, striking out eight and had two RBIs.

Garrett Mulrooney went four innings and had 5 strikeouts for the Blue Devils. Dylan Portolose had three hits and Cameron Ifft added two hits. Scott Mitchell had a RBI single for the Bluejays.
Niles 11, Edgewood 1
NILES
Jaret Johnson had three hits and two runs to lead Niles. Tyler Srbinovich added two hits, two runs and two RBIs and got the mound win, giving up one hit with a walk and seven strikeouts.
Lisbon 14, Leetonia 12
LISBON
Colin Sweeney had four hits, scored five runs and drove in a run for Lisbon. Bailey McCullough added three hits, including a double, and Michael French had three hits. Joey Hall, Isaac Stecker and Connor Mellinger each had two hits and two RBIs for Leetonia.
Mathews 11, Windham 1
WINDHAM
Sophomore Anhony Oulton earned his first varsity pitching win, scattering six hits and striking out four over five innings. Mathews (1-3, 1-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference) broke it open with six runs in the top of the fifth. Kolan Elser and Cobie Pratt each led the Mustangs with three hits, while Tom Sharp, Bryan Leipply and Mitch Goff each had two. Elser had two dohbles and three RBIs. Leipply and Jordan Brown each drove in two runs.

Cardinal Mooney 15, Youngstown Christian 1
BOARDMAN
Kayla Rutherford pitched a no-hitter and struck out 13 and Kelly Williams homered, doubled and had four RBIs and scored four runs as the Cardinals beat the Eagles in five innings at Fields of Dreams. Sydney Kocher. Bridget Sweeney and Katlyn Shaner doubled and Mya Munholland and Lauren Frommelt each had run-scoring hits for Cardinal Mooney (2-1). Youngstown Christian is now 1-2.
McDonald 9, Jackson-Milton 0
NORTH JACKSON
Cheyenne Titus threw a complete game two-hitter with 16 strikeouts for the Blue Devils. Oliva Sampson 5-for-5 and Kerrigan McDermott added a triple and three RBIs.
LaBrae 32, Campbell 2

Emily Dugan singled, doubled, tripled and had four runs and four RBIs for LaBrae. Kasey Rininger added a double, a triple, five runs and four RBIs.
Poland 7, Boardman 0
BOARDMAN
Ally Deemer went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts. Jenna Schettler added two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

HANOVERTON
Cassie Bacon had the game-winning hit in the eight inning for the Tigers (4-2). Josie Applegarth added two RBIs and got the win.

BELOIT
Kylie Coffelt tossed a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks for the Warriors (4-1, 2-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Jeni Stewart and Coffelt each added two hits. Marlington is 2-5, 2-2.
Lakeview 17, Struthers 1
CORTLAND
Kylee Mann homered and Avery Steiner and Tori Wells combined on a five-inning no-hitter as the Bulldogs beat the Wildcats. Sam Marino had two singles and two doubles for Lakeview (3-1) and Hannah Rogers had two singles and a double. Wells drove in three runs and Mann (single, double, homer), Marino and McKenna Cannon each had two RBIs.
Western Reserve 7, Mineral Ridge 2
MINERAL RIDGE
Aleah Hughes did in the Rams in the pitcher’s circle and in the batter’s box. Hughes singled, tripled and homered and scattered six hits with seven strikeouts for the Blue Devils (2-3, 2-0 ITCL). Maddie Krietzburg collected four hits — three singles and a double — and Sarah Gray and Jenny Stubbs each had a double for Western Reserve. Gabby Ondik doubled and drove in two runs for Mineral Ridge (2-2, 0-1).

Ally Deemer pitched six innings giving up two runs for Poland. She also had one of Poland’s four hits.
