Austintown hotel has deals for opening weekend

AUSTINTOWN

To celebrate its opening Friday, Hotel California is offering an all-inclusive weekend getaway package that includes two nights of lodging, all meals, a variety of entertainment options and shuttle service to and from the nearby Hollywood Gaming casino and racetrack for live horse racing.

The package is $149.99 per couple per night (based on a two-night stay), for the standard room; suites are slightly higher.

The hotel is on state Route 46, just north of the Interstate 80 interchange.

It does not yet have a liquor license, but guests who are 21 and over are welcome to bring their own bottle. Each room has a refrigerator.

Hotel California recently underwent a multimillion- dollar renovation to transform it into a resort.

In addition to a restaurant operated by the Fifth Season, the property also has a nightclub with a stage for the Funny Farm comedy club; a hot-tub spa room; a fitness center; and several outdoor heated patios.

Guests who book the weekend package can take part in a full itinerary of entertainment, which includes a billiards tournament; stand-up comedy shows; the Old Goats classic rock band; a dance party; post-party s’mores by the fire pits; a morning Zumba class and exercise time; waltz, swing and line dance lessons; and late-night movies.

Guests can check in Friday afternoon and leave Sunday at 11 a.m.
