Woman faces domestic violence charge

GIRARD

A Liberty woman is due in Girard Municipal Court today on a domestic violence charge after her common-law husband reported that he videotaped her hitting him with her hands and hitting him with an object she threw at him.

Regina L. Vancleave, 43, of Colonial Drive, was arrested on the misdemeanor charge at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The man, 51, said Vancleave had gone out drinking and then returned home and argued with him about money and hit him several times.

The video shows her hitting the man several times with her hands, saying she wanted to kill him and throwing either an ash tray or mason jar at him, hitting him, police said. She was first taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for extreme intoxication and then taken to jail.
