Circus will give tickets to charity donors

The first 150 people to donate two items to Beatitude House will receive a pair of free ticket vouchers to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus when it comes to Covelli Centre May 7-10.

The donation event will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Covelli Centre. Donors must give two of the following items: unopened package of baby diapers, unopened package of baby wipes, set of two bath towels, set of twin sheets.

There will be a maximum of two ticket vouchers given per person.

The first 100 people also will receive one voucher for the Youngstown Phantoms hockey team’s second home playoff game, which will be that night at Covelli Centre.

Beatitude House, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, helps disadvantaged women and children by creating homes, providing educational opportunities and fostering healthy families. It has locations in Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties.

Circus performances will be at 7 p.m. May 7 and 8; 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. May 9; and 1 and 5 p.m. May 10. Tickets start at $14; call Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. For group rates and information, call 866-248-8740.
