Inspiring Minds schedules a fundraising gala event

Inspiring Minds Youngstown will host a fundraising gala, a Black-Tie Affair, May 9 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.
Jim Tressel, president of Youngstown State University, will be the guest speaker.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and at 7 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. To buy tickets, visit the website www.InspiringMindsYouth.org/youngstown.
The event will feature dinner and dancing, and silent and live auctions with vacation houses, sporting packages and more.
The organization’s mission is to engage, inspire and empower youth to reach their full life potential through education and exposure to live-changing experiences.
To ensure success of the event, Inspiring Minds Youngstown is seeking sponsors, donations for the auctions and monetary donations. Donors’ names or the company’s information will appear on Inspiring Minds website, in the electronic newsletter and on social media pages. All donations are tax deductible.

Since 2006, more than 2,000 students have participated in the after-school and summer enrichment programs. The exposure and opportunities offered through education, college and career readiness, health and wellness and personal development are life-changing.
Inspiring Minds has helped students get better grades, learn to swim, take their first steps on a college campus, learn to cook, increase their self-confidence and more. These are only a few of the goals that will lead students to be productive members of society.
