Christie to sign books, raise library funds
POLAND
Nancy Christie, author of “Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories” and “The Gifts of Change,” will visit the Poland Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, 311 S. Main St., for a combination book-signing and “Buy A Book, Earn A Buck” fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 25.
As part of the event, Christie will personally donate $1 for every book sold to Friends of the Library.
Christie is a full-time writer whose passion is fiction.
Her short stories can be found in literary publications such as Wild Violet, EWR: Short Stories, Hypertext, Wanderings, The Chaffin Journal, Fiction 365, Full of Crow, Red Fez and Xtreme. Christie is working on several other book projects, including a novel and a book for writers.
A member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the Short Fiction Writers Guild, Nancy teaches workshops at writing conferences and schools, and she hosts the monthly Monday Night Writers group in Canfield.
She also is the founder of “Celebrate Short Fiction” Day.
