AUSTINTOWN
An employee of a Dunkin’ Donuts reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill last week. The employee of the store at 1123 N. Canfield-Niles Road said a customer went through the drive-thru sometime between 2 and 10 p.m. April 1 and got change for the $100 bill. It was tested at the police department Wednesday and found to be counterfeit.
Drug charges
CAMPBELL
City police arrested Alexia Cascio, 23, of Transfer, Pa., early Thursday on felony charges of possession of cocaine and heroin.
According to police, they found a glass pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine in her purse, and Cascio admitted she had crack and heroin on her as well. She was taken to Mahoning County jail pending a court appearance today.
Cascio was a passenger in a car driven by Mark Morocco, 26, of Youngstown. He was pulled over in a traffic stop on Penhale Avenue. He was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license before being handed over to Hubbard police on an active warrant.
Woman says she was robbed at BP station
WARREN
A Niles woman was robbed at the BP gas station, 1290 E. Market St. at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The woman said she was pumping gas when two males walked up to her, one of them brandishing a long firearm.
The woman, 20, grabbed her son from the car and ran away, she said. The suspects then took her purse, book bag and keys. Police said a witness recovered the keys from a relative of one of the suspects.
3 arrested in theft of guns, drugs

Police arrested three men accused in a Thursday night home invasion.
Marc Cooper, 19, Timothy Conzett, 25, and Colin Anzevino, 20, are charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault, said Detective Jeff Lewis.
All three are accused of breaking into a home on Oakland Boulevard and trying to steal the homeowner’s guns, Lewis said.
The homeowner was stabbed in the left arm, and suffered head injuries. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and was released, police said.
Taken were at least 17 guns, and the victim’s prescription narcotics. All three suspects will appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said.
Dad, daughter arrested in raid in Campbell

Police seized drugs, guns and cash from a home on Oxford Street, reported Vindicator broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV.
Officers raided the house after receiving a tip that a felon at the address had firearms. Inside, police found about a dozen guns, $2,000, marijuana, and what they believe to be cocaine. Police also seized a large safe that had to be taken by tow-truck, and ice arrested Raymond Paris Jr., 57, and his daughter, Joellen Paris, 25. Raymond Paris is charged with having weapons while being legally prohibited from doing so. Joellen Paris was wanted for failure to comply with a court order.
