Help send Fitch Robotics to World Championships


The Austintown Fitch Robotics Team consists of 27 students, three mentors and several collegiate mentors. Each year the team rasies $23,000 to build a robot, travel and compete in regionals. The team won an Entrepreneurship Award in 2014 sponnsered by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and another in 2012 for Industrial Design Award Sponsored by General Motors. The team is now going to World Championships after winning the Buckeye Regional. World Championships will take place in St. Louis April 22-25 where there will be 600 teams competing from around the World. The cost will be more than $16,000 to travel, compete and lodge for the four-day event. The team is selling area discount cards with candy bars to help rasie money to cover the expenses.
