Actor Geoffrey Lewis, father of Juliette Lewis, dies at age 79
LOS ANGELES
Geoffrey Lewis, a prolific television actor and frequent co-star of Clint Eastwood’s, died Tuesday at the age of 79.
Carleen Donovan, a publicist for his daughter, actress Juliette Lewis, confirmed the news Wednesday.
The veteran character actor’s credits alongside Eastwood include “High Plains Drifter,” “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot,” “Every Which Way But Loose,” and its sequel, and “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil,” among others.
He received a Golden Globe nomination for the television series “Flo,” and also appeared in shows that include “Murder She Wrote,” “The A-Team,” and “Mission: Impossible.”
Juliette Lewis on Wednesday morning posted a photo of her and her father to her Instagram account, writing that she is forever his daughter and that he will never be gone.
Awards stolen from deceased filmmaker

Police say an Emmy award and other collectibles have been stolen from the home of a late Ohio filmmaker.
Akron police say the items were reported missing from the home of Paul Jacoway last month. Among the stolen items were an Emmy, two Telly awards and framed gold records from Tina Turner and Corey Hart that Jacoway received while working at Capitol Records.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports 55-year-old Jacoway died March 9 of natural causes.
CBS’ Schieffer to retire
