Mike Little, retired park ranger and geologist, will speak at 6 p.m. April 16 at the Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St., about the volcanic activity of Iceland and how it affects the Northwest United States and the southern Caribbean.

Anyone raising $1,000 for Beatitude House, 238 Tod Lane, will have a chance to rappel down the 18-story Metropolitan Building downtown.

Christian Associates plan a hunger walk
