Foster care agency plans annual wine & beer taste

Homes For Kids-Child and Family Solutions will host its fifth annual Cheers to the Children Wine & Beer Tasting from 6 to 9 p.m. April 24 at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.

Guests at the event will sample more than 20 fine wines and hand-crafted brews from Luva Bella Winery, Mastropietro Winery, Greene Eagle Winery, Rust Belt Brewing Company and Superior Beverage Company.

They can enjoy tapas-style food pairing, entertainment from Trilogy Almost Acoustic, dessert provided by Sam’s Club, a silent auction and a live auction courtesy of Jeff Byce and Byce Auction.

Amy Radinovic, co-host of WKBN First News This Morning, will serve as the mistress of ceremonies. Event proceeds will support educational and healthful activities for foster children and provide additional support for behavioral health programs.

Tickets for Cheers to the Children cost $40 per person or $75 per couple and can be purchased online at www.hfk.org or by calling 330-544-8005 ext. 534. Tickets also will be available at the door.

Homes For Kids-Child and Family Solutions strives to meet the needs of every child, family and individual referred there. Homes For Kids provides Treatment Foster Care to children who reside in the foster care system, many of whom have been emotionally, physically or sexually abused.

Child and Family Solutions addresses the behavioral health concerns of more than 1,100 children and their families annually in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana Counties.
