Youngstown cops arrest two on gun charges


YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested two men and seized two semiautomatic handguns in separate incidents Tuesday.

Darrin Mitchell, 41, of Youngstown, is in the Mahoning County jail on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a weapon after he was arrested at Sloan and Hammaker streets about 3:25 a.m.

Antwan S. Leggett, 34, also of Youngstown, is in the jail on charges of domestic violence, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drugs/heroin and possession of drugs/marijuana after he was arrested about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Mahoning Avenue. Police also said he had 15 bags of suspected marijuana and five bags of suspected heroin in a backpack he was carrying.
