Television series released on DVD this week include:

v “The Book of Negroes”: The BET production looks at the journey of a woman — Aminata Diallo (Aunjanue Ellis ) — who found her freedom from slavery and was part of the efforts by the British to register the former slaves who were loyal to them. The miniseries is based on the novel by Lawrence Hill that tracks Diallo’s story.

v “Frasier: The Complete Series”: Long before “The Big Bang Theory,” this popular TV comedy was generating laughs through the same smart humor. The jokes were delivered by one of the best ensemble casts to ever grace network TV with the likes of Kelsey Grammer, David Hyde Pierce and John Mahoney.

v “Macgyver: The Complete Collection”: Richard Dean Anderson series about an adventurer who uses his wits to stay alive.

v “Matlock: The Complete Series”: Andy Griffith wins court cases in the series that ran for 178 episodes.

v “King of the Hill: Season 9”: Among the 15 episodes is the one where Bobby is asked to join the track and field team.

“Man Finds Food” (9:30 P.M., TRAVEL): Does host Adam Richman eat something called Eggs McMahon? Haha! Yes! You are correct, oh great one!

“Blackish” (9:31 P.M., ABC: Things get real on “Blackish” when Bow reconnects with some college pals and invites them to a fancy dinner party. Turns out that one of them appeared on “The Real World,” which has the kids wanting to film their own reality show.

Skating show at Covelli Centre

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Phantoms figure-skating club’s spring show, “A Tribute to Broadway,” is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St.

For $10, guests can see the figure-skating show and the Youngstown Phantoms hockey game, starting 7:05 p.m. the same night. There also will be a basket auction raffle during the show.

Samuel Dorf, a musicologist and professor at the University of Dayton, will give a free presentation on “The Archive and the Repertoire: Listening for the Queer Sounds of Natalie Clifford Barney’s Parisian Salon” at 4 p.m. Friday in Bliss Recital Hall, inside Bliss Hall, at Youngstown State University.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

Opera Westminster will present “Flirtatious, Frustrating and Fatal Attractions” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Orr Auditorium on the Westminster College campus. The program is free and open to the public.

Westminster students will perform scenes from “Carmen,” “Cosi fan Tutte,” “II Barbiere di Siviglia,” “The Merry Widow,” “Giulio Cesare” and more.
