Small porch fire today on North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire investigators will try and determine the cause of a small fire on an enclosed front porch at a North Side home about 10:30 a.m. today.

Crews were called to a home in the 400 block of Alameda Avenue, where they were quickly able to put the fire out. A spokesman on the scene said the department’s Fire Investigation Unit will look into how the fire started.
