A city woman was arrested on felonious assault and child-endangerment charges Saturday afternoon after police said she broke a man’s ankle with a crowbar.

Officers were called to South Jackson and Norman streets just before 1 p.m., where they found a crowd in the street and several cars blocking traffic.

A witness said Jacwana Colpreto, 22, was arguing with a man and smashed the windshield of his car before attacking him with the crowbar. Reports said the man had a broken ankle.

Colpreto was charged with child endangering because there was a 14-year-old in her car when she got in the fight. Reports did not say why she and the man were fighting.
