2 killed and 2 injured in in one-car Ohio crash
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — A teenage girl and a 21-year-old man have died in a one-car crash in western Ohio that left two other passengers injured and authorities searching for the driver who they say fled.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield post says 18-year-old Tristan Sherman and 21-year-old Juan Compton died at the scene of the crash that occurred about 1:30 a.m. today near Springfield Township. Sherman and Compton were from Springfield.
A patrol release says two other passengers were injured and taken to hospitals. The patrol says their conditions weren’t immediately available.
Troopers began a search for the driver who they say fled on foot.
Investigators say the car went off the road on a curve and struck a utility pole. The investigation to determine the cause of the crash continues.
