Youngstown woman charged with crowbar attack on man
YOUNGSTOWN — A city woman was arrested on felonious assault and child-endangering charges Saturday afternoon after police said she broke a man’s ankle with a crowbar.
Officers were called to South Jackson and Norman streets on the East Side just before 1 p.m., where they found a crowd in the street and several cars blocking traffic.
A witness said Jacwana Colpreto, 22, was arguing with a man and smashed the windshield of his car with a crowbar before attacking him with the crowbar. Reports said the man had a broken ankle.
Colpreto complained of a broken arm and was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to be examined before she was arrested and taken to the Mahoning County jail. Reports said she was charged with child endangering because there was a 14-year-old in her car when she got in the fight. Reports did not say why she and the man were fighting.
