Beatitude House has partnered with Over the Edge to present a one-of-a-kind event in the Mahoning Valley.
“Over the Edge for Beatitude House” will provide individuals the opportunity to rappel down the Metropolitan Tower in downtown Youngstown on Sept. 25 and 26.
All participants are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 to benefit the women and children of Beatitude House and secure their rappel spot.
Event registration via the event website and the supporting Facebook page are now live in order to allow interested participants enough time to raise the needed funds to rappel.
There also will be a drop-zone block party.
No experience is necessary to rappel. Over-the-Edge technicians teach you everything you need to know that day, organizers said.
According to its website, Over the Edge helps nonprofit groups raise money by having participants rappel down tall buildings.
To register or learn about the event, visit the Over the Edge for Beatitude House website at www.overtheedgeytown.com.
Event sponsors to date include Home Savings, Compco Industries Supports Empowering Women Mahoning Valley, Cohen & Co., First National Bank, and Better Business Bureau of Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties.
Beatitude House is celebrating its 25th year serving homeless and disadvantaged women and children in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Ashtabula counties.
By providing housing and support services, Beatitude House helps women transform their lives and become stable and more self-reliant. Visit www.beatitudehouse.com or call 330-744-3147 for more information.
