Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God, video class: Law and the Constitution, and senior spinning at 9, Piloxing, bingo, painting, quilting and beginner computer class at 10, lunch and advanced computer class at noon and calligraphy class at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., video class: Ancient Technology at 9, bingo, quilting, crocheting and Youngstown Women’s Connection at 10, line dancing at 10:30, chair yoga and Windows computer class at 11:30, lunch at noon, class on candle meditation at 12:30 p.m., AARP choir class at 1 and Paint & Taste at 6 p.m.; Wednesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God and blood pressure checks at 9, intermediate computer class, bingo, quilting and BP Express at 10, senior spinning at 10:30, Zumba at 11, advanced computer class at 11:30, discussion group and $3 pizza party at noon, and TOPS at 1 p.m.; Thursday, active exercise at 8 a.m., wood carving and travelogue on ancient cities at 9, S.O.S. at 9:30, chair yoga, vets helping vets, quilting and crocheting at 10, video class on natural healing at 10:30, knitting at 11, and lunch and grocery bingo at noon; and Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God and video class on Skeptics American History at 9, bingo and senior spinning at 10, chair burlesque at 11, and trip for antiquing and sales at noon. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference day projects. Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, announces its next Gathering Place, a senior day event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13 featuring a presentation on spring gardening issues and tips.
