Dominion East Ohio named vice president Jeff Murphy its top executive, effective April 1. Murphy succeeds Scott Miller, who will become vice president-electric transmission for Dominion Virginia Power in Richmond, Va. Murphy, a 29-year company veteran, will oversee all aspects of Dominion East Ohio’s natural-gas distribution company, including gathering, storage, distribution and transmission assets, and Dominion Hope, a natural-gas distribution company in Clarksburg, W.Va. The company promoted Murphy, previously general manager-commercial operations, to vice president earlier this year.

AWARDS

Charlanne Farms of Southington in Trumbull County received several honors at the recent Ohio Association of Meat Processors convention. The OAMP is a nonprofit organization that works to better the meat industry in Ohio. Charlanne Farms received first place for slab bacon with skin off; reserve champion for unsliced bologna; first place for summer sausage; reserve champion for smoked turkey; reserve champion for mild breakfast sausage; grand champion for spicy dinner sausage; first place for meat snack sticks; grand champion for wieners; reserve champion for jerky-whole muscle; and reserve champion for slab bacon with skin on.

OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, also known as OH WOW! in downtown Youngstown, recently added Ellie Platt and Christine Zeller Papa to its board of directors.

Real Living Volpini Realty Group Realtor Patty Helmick has received a national sales award from the corporate office.

Real Living Real Estate Sales Performance Awards are given to the Top 100 agents nationally and internationally. Out of more than 10,000 agents, Helmick earned the 16th-best spot for units sold in 2014. She closed 75 sales transactions in one year.Helmick, who works at the Trumbull County office of Real Living Volpini, has been licensed since 1988 and consistently has had sales in the millions of dollars each year. She specializes in homes that sellers were unable to sell.

The Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio, which represents new car and truck dealers in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties, announced Chucky Eddy has been re-elected president of the board of trustees for 2015-16 at the recent ADAEO annual meeting. Eddy is owner of Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Bob & Chuck Eddy Fiat of Austintown, and Bob & Chuck Eddy Cadillac Chevrolet Buick and Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Grove City, Pa.
