On March 12 Boardman Center Middle School students produced “Seussical” for the entire middle school. Students, teachers and some parents gathered in the auditorium to see the show that morning. Those in “Seussical” dressed the part, sang, danced and acted on stage as if it were the official night of production.
Katelyn DeLadurantey, one of the directors, is in her fourth year of directing. DeLadurantey said she began casting for this production the last week of October just this past year. With students progressing through the middle school, every year DeLadurantey gets a different group of students. Each new group is also accompanied by new and different personalities, as well. However this year, Deladurantey said she was quite impressed with this year’s cast.
“We have a really talented group this year,” DeLadurantey said. “We couldn’t have casted better.”
DeLadurantey said she enjoys seeing students work together and come out of their shells.
“It’s rewarding seeing kids reap benefits and changing throughout the process,” DeLadurantey said.
The production took place on March 12 and 13 at 7 p.m.
