An 18-year-old Cleveland burglary suspect faces murder charges after police say he broke into a house with another teen who ended up being shot to death by the homeowner.
Cleveland detectives have a warrant charging the man with murder. The Northeast Ohio Media Group reported Thursday that he hadn’t been arrested yet.
The man is sought in the March 24 death of his purported accomplice, James Eason, 19. Ohio law allows for murder charges for a death caused in the commission of another felony.
Police say Eason and the wanted man broke into a house on the city’s east side, and the homeowner returned while they were still in the house and opened fire on both of them.
The homeowner hasn’t been charged.
