Mahoning commissioners approve road-Mapaving pact

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County commissioners today awarded a $639,942 paving contract for the paving of various county roads to Shelley Co. of Thornville, Ohio.

The contract will be paid with Ohio Public Works Commission funds at 69 percent. The remainder will come from county the gas tax and license plate fee revenues that go into the county engineer's budget.

The commissioners also awarded a $109,449 storm-sewer construction project along Western Reserve Road to X-Press Underground Inc.

The commissioners also responded to The Vindicator's bonus bonanza package that ran in today's paper.
