Lawrence Mercer ATHENA will honor 2 at celebration

WEST MIDDLESEX, PA.

Lawrence Mercer ATHENA International announces the third annual ATHENA Leadership Awards Celebration from 5:30 to 9 p.m. April 21 at the Park Inn by Radisson, 3377 New Castle Road.

One established leader and one emerging leader from the region will receive the ATHENA Leadership Award and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award.

This year’s event will recognize 10 honorees who have demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative in their community and profession by advancing the cause of women in leadership.

Nominees for the established ATHENA Awards are Karen Anderson, inside sales representative for Wendell August; April Brown, emergency service coordinator for Prince of Peace; Karen Dahl, dietitian for the Veterans Health Administration; Connie Gerba, Benefits Department manager for Gilbert’s Risk Solutions; and Marcy Radcliffe, assistant to the chief investment officer for F.N.B. Investment Advisors Inc.

Those nominated for the emerging professionals award are June Bruckner, personal chef; Leta Jeffers, director of the Thiel Fund for Thiel College; Jamie McDonough, director of information management for Jameson Health System; Andrea Paulden, outsourced risk manager for Gilbert’s Risk; and Jolene Steib, instructor at Butler Community College.
