Boardman man faces child-endangering charge

BOARDMAN — A township man is charged with endangering children after police said he failed to supervise his young child.

Police arrested Terry Becker Jr., 31, of Turnberry Drive, on Wednesday after he called police while trying to find his child. The child was located at a residence on Fairway Drive.

Police say the child must have walked through backyards and then across Tippecanoe Road.

Police then learned from Mahoning County Children’s Services that two similar incidents occurred last year. Police arrested Becker, according to a report, because the child could have been seriously harmed. The child's age was redacted on the report.

He was released on a summons, pending a court appearance.
