Professional club to mark business women’s week

Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club and Business and Professional Women’s Foundation announce that the annual National Business Women’s Week will take place from Oct. 20 through 24.

In celebration the YBPW will host a dinner, fundraiser and Woman of the Year presentation on Oct. 21 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include networking, dinner, a mystery box giveaway, a basket raffle, an award presentation and a program.

The cost to attend is $50. For reservations call Sandra Barger at 330-518-5383 or email her at sandrabarger@sbcglobal.net. The deadline for reservations is Oct. 17.

YBPW’s commitment to celebrating women’s accomplishments and acknowledging the women making a difference in our community are shown each year through this event. In the Woman of the Year Presentation the YBPW honors a local female professional who not only has achieved great success but also has contributed to the community and empowered others.

All proceeds from this event will go to the Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to female students at Youngstown State University.

Since 1928, National Business Women’s Week has honored the contributions of working women and employers who support working women and their families.
